This Mitsubishi Model will change electric cars forever

In 2011, Forbes released an article controversially titled “Electric Cars Are an Extraordinarily Bad Idea”. In the article, the author states that “The short and highly variable range of a(n electric vehicle), coupled with its very long recharging time, creates the phenomenon of “range anxiety”. The car takes over your life. You are forced to plan every trip carefully, and to forgo impromptu errands in order to conserve precious electrons. The electric motor on the front axle produces 60KW and 137Nm and the rear-axle mounted electric motor churns out an impressive additional 60KW and 190Nm. The rally rebel will be receiving a facelift with a new grille and bumper and an overall chunkier design boasting switchable daytime running LED lighting. But perhaps most exciting of all is what’s going on under the hood of the 2015 Pajero. The 3.2-litre DI-D turbocharged diesel engine produces 140 KW at 3 800 rpm with a whopping 441Nm or torque. This is driven by a five speed automatic gearbox that has a manual override functionality, enabling you to take control while pulling off the technical off-road manoeuvres that Pajero is so renowned for. The Pajero range has been simplified as well. As of 2015, there will only be three model derivatives on the market, rather than the four derivatives we are currently familiar with. But not to worry, the Pajero retains its on and off-road handling, comfort and fuel efficiency. Mitsubishi Motors South Africa COO Wynand Pretorius explains that the &ld ...
