With the next Fast and the Furious set to drop in roughly a month, we thought we would take a look back at some of the greatest vehicles to appear in the series. This Mitsubishi (adapted from teamnissannh.com) certainly takes the cake!

This Mitsubishi Concept can beat loadshedding - but how?

What happens when you combine a plug-in hybrid powertrain with a Mitsubishi? You get the GC-PHEV – which stand for the Mitsubishi Grand Cruiser Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle. Powered by a combination of a supercharged 3 litre V6 engine and 70 kW electric motor, the car relies on 335 horsepower, with an additional 94 hp from the electric motor for extra measure. The result? At least 40 kilometres worth of driving when operating only as an electric vehicle, and with only 56 kilometres per gallon of fuel. In addition to this, the GC-PHEV will boast an advanced full time All-Wheel Drive system, which distributes power to all four wheels at once. Using an evolved version of currently existing Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) technology, the GC-PHEV will feature front and centre differentials in order to divide the power between the front, back, and sides of the vehicle. No one can stand in these solitudes unmoved, and not feel that there is more in man than the mere breath of his body." With such dramatic words from a person known for his dedication to explaining reality, it is not difficult to imagine just what value these forests pose to the world. Sadly, as industrialization and the world's population explodes, these areas are fast becoming scarce, or even worse - extinct. Mitsubishi has recognised the importance that the rain forests of the world pose to humanity, and have decided to pledge one million dollars via a grant over the next 5 years through the Mitsubishi Corporation Foundation. The money will go towards the ...
